O'Donnel, stated that he was originally going to add two, but now believes he will
reduce it to one new bathroom. Board Member Lutz stated that that was a-good plan.
Vice Chair Blake questioned the removal of the accessory structure and asked if it was
original. The owner stated that the accessory structure is not original as it constructed
with current-day dimension 2x4's and windows. Also the accessory structure is not on a
foundation. Chair Hernandez asked why the skylight well was designed as a chimney.
The owner stated that the chimney design camouflages the skylight well and provides a
material break between the original exterior finish and the proposed new. Chair
Hernandez asked if the Pepper tree and gate would be removed. The owner stated no.
Chair Hernandez stated that the original front elevation is more balanced that the
proposal. The owner stated that the proposed addition is significantly setback from the
existing front elevation, and that he can remove the skylight. Chair Hernandez thanked
the owner for his efforts and asked him to return to the Historic Preservation Board if
any further changes were made. Vice Chair Blake noted that it was good to remove the
1950's addition facing Third Street.
