Letter re Outdoor Seating-2003 CITY OF CAMPBELL Community Development Department June 4, 2003 Keith Cova Orchard Valley Coffee 349 E. Campbell Ave. Campbell, CA 95008 RE: Outdoor Seatine and Sidewalk Trash Receptacles. 349 E. Campbell Ave. Dear Keith: As part of the City's ongoing downtown maintenance efforts, the City is switching the second sidewalk trash receptacle from recycling to a regular trash can, to assist you in maintaining trash overflow. City staff will contact Green Valley to add this can to their weekly early morning Monday and Thursday pick-up and has arranged for the cans to be steam cleaned when the contractor cleans the sidewalks on June 9th. The City's current quarterly steam cleaning contract can help reduce your monthly steam cleaning costs if you choose to schedule accordingly. Due to your outdoor seating, it is Orchard Valley's responsibility to monitor and empty the trash so that it does not accumulate on top of the cans or spill over the sides; and to wash off the tops of the cans regularly to eliminate flies. Enclosed for your convenience is the Outdoor Seating permit application. I recommend that you complete this application and submit for review and approval. Your assistance in this effort along with your other outdoor seating maintenance enhances downtown's ambiance. Thank you for your cooperation. ~4fJ Geoff I.
