Dear Mr. Elliot:
The Planning Division has reviewed and conditionally approved your sign application
(PLN2004-06) for one new wall sign, a trash enclosure, and additional striping of the parking
area for property located at 2236 South Bascom A venue.
This Sign Permit has been approved subject to the following conditions of approval:
1. All subsequent façade sign installations shall be individual letter format.
2. The new wall sign is 14.66 square feet and consists of individual channel letters reading,
"Subway".

The applicant shall obtain any necessary building permits from the Building Division prior
to sign installation;
The proposed wall sign shall be fabricated and installed per the approved plans received
January 21, 2004 and dated September 15, 2003;
The wall sign shall not exceed a depth of five (5) inches as shown on the approved plans.
The sign shall be maintained in good condition at all times and shall be repaired or replaced
as necessary.

Parking Designation:

Designate the seven parking spaces along the rear property line as compact due to limited
back-up distance. Minimum 6 inch letters need to be painted on the pavement for this
purpose.
The trash enclosure design is acceptable subject to the following conditions or modifications:

Paint the enclosure and gates to match the wall color of the building.
Provide a concrete pad in front of the trash enclosure area with a minimum depth of 10 feet
to allow servicing the container. You may wish to pursue a more accessible location
adjacent to the shared driveway. If a change in location is proposed, please ensure adequate
access to parking spaces.

Please provide a letter from the owner/ tenant ensuring installation within 30 days of this
approval.
