PROJECT DESCRIPTION

proiect site Location and Characteristics
The proposed project site is located at 675 East Campbell
Avenue in the City of Campbell in Santa Clara 'County. The
Assessor Parcel Numbers are 279-46-1, 2, 3, and 4. The 5.5 acre
(239,580 square feet) site, of which 19,691 square feet are now
developed as the Campbell Inn (Site and Basement Level Plans,
Hedley and Stark, 2/19/86).
The site is bounded on the north and east by Highway 17, on
the west by the Los Gatos Creek, professional offices and Poplar
Avenue. To the south is Campbell Avenue, Campbell Park (open
space) and a restaurant. Figure 1 represents the regional set-
ting and Figure 2 shows the local setting.
The project site is utilized by the Campbell Inn for parking,
an access road and a tennis court. A small amount (less than
15,000 square feet) is undeveloped land. The topography of the
site is generally level, but abruptly falls off along the Los
Gatos Creek.

proiect Description
The project applicant, Mr. Fred Sahadi, owner of the present
Campbell Inn, proposes to expand the Campbell Inn by 73 rooms
(62,083 square feet, including balconies). Presently the Inn
contains 94 rooms with a floor area of 39,982 square feet and a
building coverage of 19,691 square feet. Included in the expan-
sion will be the 73 rooms, a laundry area, storage area, equip-
ment and maintenance areas.
The presept parking lot, containing 103 spaces, would be
expanded by 43 spaces. The proposed total number of parking
spaces would be as follows:
