1988, an application form for consideration of your residence as a locally
Designated Historic Landmark is enclosed. If you should wish to pursue the
designation of your property, this application should be completed and
submitted to the Planning Department. Additionally, please find enclosed, an
example of a completed application for another residence which has been
designated by the City Council.
The Historic Preservation Board and the City Council will review your request
based upon the criteria set forth in Section 21.41.090 of the City's Municipal
Code, 'which is attached for your information.

It has come to the attention of the Historic Preservation Board that
you have recently restored your home and that you may be interested
in Campbell's Historic Landmark Designation Program. The City Council
has established a landmark designation process which helps recognize
and protect the historic resources of the community.
Your home was identified as a potential historic resource by the City
Council in 1984 and may be eligible for the "Historic Landmark Designation"
status. Basically, the designation process establishes an Historic
Overlay Zoning District on your property to protect it from demolition
or unsensitive development. An owner of a property which is designated
historically is able to take advantage of the State Historic Building
Code.
