The Planning Commission meeting of August 12, 2014, was called to order at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 70 North First Street, Campbell, California by Chair Resnikoff and the following proceedings were had, to wit: AUGUST 12, 2014 CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS TUESDAY ROLL CALL Commissioners Present Chair: Vice Chair: Commissioner: Commissioner: Commissioner: Commissioner: Paul Resnikoff Pam Finch Yvonne Kendall Philip C. Dodd Aki Honda Snelling Daniel Fama William Seligmann Corinne Shinn Motion: Upon motion by Commissioner Kendall, seconded by Commissioner Rich, the Planning Commission minutes of the meeting of July 22, 2014, were approved as submitted. (6-0-1; Commissioner Dodd was absent) COMMUNICATIONS None Campbell Planning Commission Minutes for August 12, 2014 Page 3 Commissioner finch: • Said that outreach was done to the neighboring properties and all were supportive. • Reiterated ghat SARC was supportive and felt this fits in with the way things are going in this neighborhood. • Pointed out that this is not a monster house and is attractive looking. Chair Resnikofi~ said that the massing was addressed with the design to ensure privacy for the neighbors. He is glad to see that there are larger setbacks. Commissioner Finch remembered that during the discussion of the porch it is possible that an expanded porch feature would cross over the front property setback. Commissioner Kendall asked if there would be any depth to the porch at all. Is there room for a potted plant? Planner Daniel Fama said that while it is small it does consist of 74 square feet. Planning Manager Aki Honda Snelling added that it is an entry porch. Motion: Upon motion of Commissioner Reynolds, seconded by Commissioner Kendall, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 4161 approving a Site and Architectural Review Permit (PLN2014-111) to allow the construction of a two-story single-family residence on property located at 1350 Peggy Avenue, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Finch, Kendall, Resnikoff, Reynolds, Rich and Young NOES: None ABSENT: Dodd ABSTAIN: None Chair Resnikoff advised that this action is final unless appealed in writing to the City Clerk within 10 calendar days. *~* REPORT OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR Planned Manager Aki Honda Snelling added the following to the written report: • Pointed out that the Council denied the appeal of park fees for 226 Sunnyside Avenue. • Reported that the next Planning Commission meeting agenda now has two items on it. One is the Text Amendment to the current Housing Element (2009-2014) to make it consistent and the other is a Use Permit for a car sales office location.
