Dead Tree Removal Permit - 2014July 17, 2019• Narrative Supporting tree removal permit at the property of 462 W. Sunnyoaks Avenue, Sunnyoaks Home Owner's Association. APN: 406-09-030-00 Two trees arse in need of immediate removal, located directly along the road and walkway of VV. Sunnyoaks Avenue. These are an immediate hazard to people property andi. utilities. Branches from both of these trees have fallen on the pavement and have required cutting and removal. They are also heavily entangled in above ground utility lines. The two dead trees represent an immediate danger to the properties and people near them, (Town criteria A, B, C) Dead Tree #1: Douglas Fir, 72" circumference 10' from nearest home (462 W. Sunnyoaks) 76" from walkway; 12'5" to street 12' from utlility pole/PG&E high voltage box/street lamp. Branches have already fallen and have needed to be cleared from street. Dead Tree #2: Pepper, 64" circumference 8' from nearest home (462) 57" from walkway; 11'2" from street heavily intertwined in obove ground utility pole. Branches have needed to be cut and cleared above sidewalk. Request for Site Plan Exception to tree removal permit Given the speed with which these trees have died/stressed the Sunnyoaks HOA is requesting that a permit be issued immediately to remove the dead trees without a specific site plan for replanting. Both dead trees have already shed branches onto the walk and street beneath them. Both are very large for the narrow strip of grass they are planted in; both are entangled in above-ground utilities; and one is precariously close to above and below-ground high voltage and gas lines. Our intention is to replant trees, but we need to understand what is killing these trees before planting. Submitted by Kevin Rogers,, 462 W. Sunnyoaks Ave. On behalf of l:he Sunnyoaks HOA.
