Dear Mr. Cobbler,
This letter is to follow up on the January 19, 2012 approval of an Administrative Planned
Development Permit to allow retail automobile sales in an existing building. Pursuant to the
following conditions of approval, various actions must still be taken, including submittal of (1)
revised plans to reflect un-permitted exterior alterations as part of Building Permit No.
BLD2010-537, ('?) obtainment of a DMV Retail license, (3) an application for a Used Motor
Vehicle Permit (if used vehicles are sold), and (4) an application for a building permit for indoor
auto sales.
3. Modification of Previously Approved Building Permit: Previously approved tenant improvement plans
(BLD2010-537) shall be modified to reflect the exterior storefront modifications approved herein. Painted
storefront shall match the color the adjacent storefront to the satisfaction of the Community Development
Director.
5. DMV Retail License: At all times, use of the subject tenant space for vehicle display will be contingent on
obtainment and maintenance in good standing of a California DMV Retail Used Auto-Commercial or
New/Used Auto-Commercial license.
7. Used Motor Vehicle Permit. If used cars are to be sold from the premises under the requested
Administrative Planned Development Permit, the business owner shall obtain a Used Motor Vehicle Pernlit
from the City Council pursuant to Campbell Municipal Code Sec. 5.08.010(12) from the Police Department
prior to the issuance of a business license. The business owner may contact Cindy Campbell in the Police
Department at (408) 866-2121 to discuss steps necessary to secure this permit.
17. Permits Re u~~ fired: A building permit application shall be required for the proposed Automotive Sales Use
in the existing commercial structure. The building permit shall include Electrical/Plumbing%Mechanical
fees when such work is part of the permit. (The space being considered for this use is proposed as a
combined F3/F1 Use. Consideration should be made for the occupied spaces on either side of this space and
what the appropriate separations should be for protecting these spaces.]

Please take appropriate action to address these requirements in a timely manner. Failure to do so
may result in revocation of the Administrative Planned Development Permit or enforcement
action by the Coc(e Enforcement Division.
