Sherwin-Williams Signs Dear Mr. Ford, On March 19, 2'.014, the Planning Division conditionally approved a Sign Permit for Sherwin- Williams located at 1581 West Campbell Avenue to allow two new wall signs (see attached approval letter for PLN2014-53). The approved permit includes the following as a Condition of Approval. 1. Based on the number of approved wall signs, this business may not be identified on any freestanding sign in compliance with Campbell Municipal Code Section 21.30.00(A)(1)(b). The Planning Division received a letter from Sherwin-Williams dated July 9, 2014, indicating the intent to remove the approved wall sign facing San Tomas Aquino Road so that the business can be identified on the shopping center's freestanding sign. If one of the two wall signs is removed, the business could be identified on a freestanding sign. Removal of the second wall sign must be completed~rior to the installation of tenant panels on the freestanding sib n, otherwise the business would be in violation of the Campbell Municipal Code and the Conditions of Approval for Sign Permit PLN2014-53. Please also ensure the building facade is repaired and painted as necessary after removal of the sign. Copy changes on an existing freestanding sign do not require approval of a Planning Permit or Building Permit, provided there are no modifications to the sign structure. If modifications other than a copy change are proposed, Planning and Building Permits may be required.
