Home Occupation Permit: Chapter 21.08 Of the Campbell Municipal Code provides that a Home
Occupation Permit may be issued by the Community Developmern Director with the concurrence of
the Building Official.
Home Occupation Regulations: Such permit may be issued only if the proposed home occupation
meets the following criteria:
A. No person shall be employed, nor shall any assistant be used, who is not a member of the resident
family and who is not residing on the premises.
B. There shall be no outdoor storage of materials, supplies, equipment or vehicles.
C. Not more than one room in the dwelling shall be used for the home occupation.
D. There shall be no retail sales or displays of merchandise on the premises.
E. The use shall not involve the use of commercial vehicles for delivery of materials to and from the
premises.
F. The use shall be carved on ernirely within a dwelling and not in the yard surrounding the dwelling
or any garage or other accessory building, except as approved by the Community Development
Director for a day care home for children.
G. The use shall not cause the increased use of utilities or community facilities beyond that normal to
the use of the property for residential purposes.
H. There shall be no structural alteration for the purpose of conducting the home occupation nor
shall any decorative change be made on the premises (either by color, materials, lighting or signs)
which could be reasonably recognized as serving anon-residential purpose.
I. There shall be no sound, noise, vibrations, pedestrian or vehicle traffic in excess of those normal
to a residential use.
J. Commercial vehicles which are to be used in conjunction with the home occupation shall be
identified at the time application for the home occupation is made. Not more than one
commercial vehicle shall be permitted and the unladen weight of the vehicle shall not exceed
7,000 pounds.
Approval of a Home Occupation Permit shall be given only to the occupant conducting the home
occupation and shall not be transferable to any subsequent occupant. In approving a Home
Occupation Permit, the Community Development Director or Building Official may set time limits as
deemed appropriate for the proposed use.

listed regulations and will abide by same. If found to be in violation of any of the above regulations
and conditions, it is understood that your business license and Home Occupation Permit may be
revoked.
