Development - 1 161 Virginia Avenue
At thf; regular meeting of November 20, 2007 the City Council gave second reading to,
and thus adopted, Ordinance No. 2094 approving a Zone Change from R-D-S (Two
Family District) to P-D (Planned Development) for property located at 1161 Virginia
Avenue. This Ordinance will become effective 30 days from the date of adoption.
PleasE: find certified copy of this Ordinance, together with a copy of the correspondence
to Mr. Liu in follow up to the City Council's action, attached for your records. The
Ordinance will be published in the Campbell Express dated November 28, 2007.

After due consideration of all evidence presented, the City Council of the City of
Campbell does ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE: That this Ordinance be adopted to approve a Zoning Classification
Change from R-D-S (Two Family Residential) to P-D (Planned Development) for
properi.y located at 1161 Virginia Avenue (attached Exhibit A).
SECTI~DN TWO: This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days following its
passage and adoption and shall be published, one time within fifteen (15) days upon
passage and adoption in the Campbell Express, a newspaper of general circulation in
the City of Campbell, County of Santa Clara.

At the regular meeting of November 6, 2007 the City Council held a public hearing to
consider the application of Mr. Dennis Liu for a Zone Change (PLN 2007-65) from R-
D-S (Two Family District) to PD (Planned Development; a Planned Development
Permit (PLN 2007-66) to allow the construction of four single family residences; a
Tentative Parcel Map (PLN 2007-67) to allow the creation of four lots and one common
lot; and a Tree Removal Permit to allow the removal of one 54-inch Coast Live Oak on
property located at 1161 Virginia Avenue.
Alter hearing public testimony, and following City Council discussion, the City Council
took the following action:
1. Adopted Resolution No. 10830 adopting a Mitigated Negative Declaration for a
Planned Development Permit to allow the construction of four single family residences
on property located at 1161 Virginia Avenue. Resolution 10830 was adopted by a 3-1-
1 vote, with Councilmember Kennedy voting no, and Councilmember Hernandez being
absent. A certified copy of this Resolution is attached.
2. Gave first reading to Ordinance 2094 approving a Zone Change (PLN 2007-65)
fr~~m R-D-S (Two Family District) to PD (Planned Development) for property located
at 1161 Virginia Avenue. Second reading of this Ordinance is scheduled for the regular
City Council meeting of November 20, 2007. A certified copy of the Ordinance will
be: forwarded to you following this meeting.
3. Adopted Resolution No. 10831 approving a Planned Development Permit (PLN
2007-66) to allow the construction of four new single family residences on property
located at 1161 Virginia Avenue, incorporating Findings and subject to the Conditions
oi' Approval. Resolution 10831 was adopted by a 3-1-1 vote, with Councilmember
Kennedy voting no, and Councilmember Hernandez being absent. A certified copy of
this Resolution is attached.
4. Adopted Resolution No. 10832 approving a Tentative Parcel Map (PLN 2007-067)
to allow the creation of four lots and one common lot on property located at 1161
Virginia Avenue, incorporating Findings, and subject to the Conditions of Approval.
