Tree Removal Permit - 2014CITY OF CAMPBELL Community Development Department November 21, 2014 Mike P,aydar 1420 Capri Drive Campbell, CA 95008 Re: File No: PLN2014-200 Address: 1359 Juanita Drive Application: Tree Removal Permit Dear Mr. Paydar, T'he Campbell Planning Division has completed review of your Tree Removal Permit application (PLN2014-200) to establish replacement trees for the removal of one (1) Cedar tree measuring 32" in diameter located in the front yard at the above address. As you know, this protected tree was removed without obtaining a Tree Removal Permit. The City of Campbell's Code Enforcement Division issued a fine in the amount of $2,368, which has been paid (case # IWQ2014-771). In addition, you agreed to submit a Tree Removal Permit application to assist the Cornmunity Development Department in establishing the replacement tree requirement. The property owners have planted a total of 20 replacement trees (15-gallon size) which include the following species: Crape Myrtle, Japanese Maple, Wisteria, Orange, and Lemon. The Community Development Director has determined that the number and type of trees proposed as replacements is adequate to replace the value of the removed tree. As a result, this Tree Removal Permit to establish replacement requirements has been approved. Please advise the current property owners that replacement trees are considered to be protected, regardless of their species or size, and cannot thereafter be removed without a permit This decision is final in 10 calendar days of the Community Development Director's decision, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell Community Development Department, 70 North First Street, Campbell, on or before December 1, 2014. A written appeal must bt: accompanied by the required $200 appeal filing fee. If an appeal is received, you will be notified immediately.
