The Community Development Director has determined that the. Ash tree on property located at
623 Peachtree Court constitutes an emergency tree removal under Section 21.32.060 of the
Campbell Municipal Code (Exemptions from Campbell Tree Protection Regulations).
This decision is based upon. a review of photographs provided by property owner Samantha
Arreola on September 13, 2017 by email indicating a significant and recent-limb/trunk failure
that has compromised the structural stability of the tree.
Removal of the tree is subject to the following-Conditions of Approval:
1. 'The applicant shall be required to file a tree removal application (enclosed) within ten
days of removal of the tree. Please note that for asingle-family property, no fee is
required.
2. The emergency approval is limited to the removal of the one Ash tree- (depicted in the
attached.photos) that is located in the front yard (southeast corner) on private property
' located at 623 Peachtree Court.
3. The applicant shall plant one (l) 24-inch box tree somewhere on the above referenced
property. Replacement species shall be a large canopy shade tree (ash or evergreen tree
preferred) and may not include fruit trees or Eucalyptus trees. The replacement tree
shall be planted within 30 days of the effective date of this approval, unless accepted
arboricultural practices dictate a preferential planting season within the next calendar .
year for the selected species.
