Dear Ms. Markel,
The Planning Division has granted a Zoning Clearance (PLN2018-243) for approval of a Special
Event Closure pursuant to Part VI, Section E (Special Events) of The Pruneyard Master Use
.Permit for a restaurant reopening party in the Pruneyard Shopping Center Main Plaza. The
Special Event Closure shall be conducted in compliance with the enclosed "Main Plaza Closure
Request" (dated August 29, 2018), subject to the following restrictions:
Event Date: September 29, 2018
Event Tirtie: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Plaza Closure Time: 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Event Type: Restaurant reopening party
Alcohol Service: The service of alcoholic beverages shall be limited to beer and wine,
subject to obtainment of a single day license from Department of Alcoholic Beverage
Control (ABC).
Entertainment: Live entertainment outside of the Rock Bottom restaurant patio area shall
require separate approval of a single day live entertainment permit by the Police Department.
Speakers shall be oriented away from the neighboring residences to the north. Regardless of
decibel level, the volume of the music shall not unreasonably interfere with the comfortable
enjoyment of the neighboring residential properties.

Security: Security shall be provided as may be required by the Chief of Police, as specified
as condition of local law enforcement approval of an ABC single day license.
Fire District Requirements: Applicant is required to submit a "Special Event Information
Sheet to the Santa Clara County Fire District.
Circulation: Adequate vehicular circulation throughout the rest of the shopping center shall
be maintained.
Closure Signs: Temporary closure and way-finding signs shall be placed at either end of the
main plaza.
Revocation: If necessary to protect against an immediate threat to the public peace, health, or
safety, the City Manager and authorized designees, including the Community Development
Director, Chief of Police, and Fire Chief, may order the immediate termination of the special
event and require the main plaza to be reopened to vehicular traffic, under the authority
granted by Campbell Municipal Code Section 6.10.150 (Procedure in Case of Emergency).
The Pruneyard Center Association (i.e., Ellis Partners employees and sub-contractors) shall
heed the order under the mutual obligation responsibilities of The Pruneyard Master Use
Permit.
This Zoning Clearance allows for reoccurrence of the same event without additional approval so
long as changes to the event plan are not proposed. If the event is to reoccur in the future, please
contact the Planning Division at least four (4) weeks prior to confirm that this Zoning Clearance
is applicable. -
