1.Brochure: Board Members Moore and Walter will provide an update on the brochure.
2.Historic Preservation Mobile application: Continue discussion.
3.Historic Preservation Ordinance (Chapter 21.33): Continue discussion regarding
update of the City’s Historic Preservation Ordinance. Pursuant to the CLG Agreement,
OHP must have the opportunity to review and comment on ordinance changes prior to
adoption. Changes that do not meet the CLG requirements could affect certification status.

CALL TO ORDER
Chair Blake called the Historic Preservation Board Regular Meeting of Wednesday,
January 23, 2017, to order at 4:12 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, located at 70
North First Street, Campbell, California, and the following proceedings were had to wit.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Board Member Walter made a motion to approve the Regular Meeting Minutes of January 11, 2017. Vice Chair Anderson seconded. Motion Passed 3-0-1 (Moore Absent)

NEW BUSINESS
1. Election: Board Member Walter made a motion to re-elect Susan Blake as Chair of the Historic Preservation Board. Board Member Anderson seconded. Motion
Passed 3-0-1. Board Member Walter made a motion to elect Dawn Anderson as
Vice-Chair of the Historic Preservation Board. Chair Blake Anderson seconded.
Motion Passed 3-0-1. (Moore Absent)
OLD BUSINESS
1. Brochure: This item was tabled to the next regular meeting. 2. Historic Mobile Application: Ms. McCormick informed the HPB that staff from the
planning department met with staff from the Museum and the Director of the
Recreation Department to discuss next steps for the historic tour app including
acquiring digital files for the Ainsley House and the Water Tower. The museum does not have any files for the Galindo-Leigh house; however planning staff has information from when the home was designated a historic Landmark.
3. Historic Preservation Ordinance (Chapter 21.33): The HPB discussed the update.

HPB MEMBER / STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS / COMMUNICATIONS
1. 120 & 130 N. 3rd Street: Informational Only. Staff informed the HPB that the City had
received an application to demolish the structures at these two properties. Although
the structures are not on the Historic Resource Inventory, they are over 75 years old
(circa ~1941), and therefore the application was provided for information only. HPB
member comments regarding the two large oak trees on the property and the proposed design of the two homes will be passed along to the project planner.
2. HPB recruitment: Staff notified the HPB that the City had received two applications
and will be holding interviews soon.
3. 209 Railway: No update.
4. Envision Campbell General Plan Update: Chair Blake stated that the Envision
Campbell Community Survey revealed that 61% of survey respondents indicated
that historic preservation is a very important issue in Campbell. Tree preservation was also identified as an important issue.
