Second St Application: Sign Permit Status: Incomplete Dear Applicant: The Planning Division has reviewed your May 4, 2017 sign plan for a Sign Permit (PLN2017-141) for one wall -mounted sign located at 22 S. Second St. Based on a review of the application materials, your application has been deemed incomplete. The following revisions to the sign plans are needed in order to continue processing this application: Allowable Sign Types: Campbell Municipal Code Section 21.10.060(K) indicates Downtown businesses are allowed one wall sign or awning sign, in addition to one projecting sign. The Community Development Director has determined the proposed sign is not a wall sign, as it is not proposed directly on the wall, but on an existing architectural feature over the door. Per CMC Section 21.10.060(K)(4), a wall sign may painted directly on a wall, a sign panel attached to a parapet wall, or individually formed letter attached to a wall. Revise the plans to relocate the wall sign to a location where the sign can be attached directly to the wall. Alternatively, revise the plans to propose an awning sign per CMC Section 21.10.060(K)(5) and/or a projecting sign per CMC Section 21.10.060(K)(6). Enclosed for your use is the C-3 (Downtown) Zoning Ordinance containing the code sections referenced; sign standards begin on Page 17.
