FM 84-04 Request of Mr. Carl Abbott for modification of plans
Abbott, C. to allow the placement of a storage container on nto-
perty known as Z200 S. Bascom Avenue in a C-2-S
(General Commercial) Zoning District.
Commissioner Perrine reported that this application was considered by the Site
and Architectural Review Committee. The subject container is screened, does
not take up designated parking spaces, and is painted in a color similar to
the building. The Committee is recommending approval for one year, subject
to removal at the end of this time.
It was moved by Commissioner Kasolas, and seconded by Commissioner Fairbanks,
that W 84-04 be approved subject to conditions listed in the Staff Comment
Sheet for a period of one year. Wtion carried unanimously.

STAFF RF.COMM ATI0N:
That the Planning Commission approve this application; subject to the
following conditions:
1. Cargo container to be removed within 1 year from date of approval.
2. Applicant to secure any necessary building permits.
STAFF DISCUSSION:
The applicant is requesting approval of an 8 ft. by 20 it. cargo storage
container at the rear of the property on which Fosters Freeze is located.
The container is not located in a. designated parking area and has been
;painted to blend in with the building. In addition several planter boxes
have been placed in front of it to provide screening.
Staff is of the opinion that this is one of the better situated containers
find approval is ra ommended.
