An expansion of the existing development would probably be possible -
subject to a Use Permit and Architectural Approval.
The subject property is developed with two single family structures in
the front and a parking area in the rear. This property was annexed,
as two parcels, on July 25, 1973 (Leigh 1973-1). At the time of
annexation the residence on the northern lot (2180) had already been
converted into an office. The residence of the southern lot (2190)
had been illegally (per letter from County Council's Office) converted
into an o fice. The annexation file contains a set of plans and ele-
vations for 2190 S. Bascom; however, I have not been able to locate ny
record of a use permit having been issued to legalize this conversion.
The two properties were combined on September 7, 1973.
On the City Council approved a palmistry shop in this
structure. in early 1978 a retail business opened in a portion of this
structure. In August of 1978 the City Council adopted a text amendment
allowing residential structures to be converted to commercial use. No
use permit has been granted for this conversion.
To the 'Jest of my knowledge, we do not have any plans in our files for
the development on 2180 S. Bascom. The aerial photograph indicates that
the structure is approxirrmrtely 1600 square feet in size. The plans in
the annexation file indicate that the structure at 2190 is almost 1700
square feet in size. The existing development would need 17 to 22 parking
spaces (1:200 to 1:150). The parking area is large enough to provide 14
spaces on one side of the driveway and alomost a like number on the
other side. Therefore, an expansion of the existing development would
probably be possible.

RE: Erection of Signs Without A Permit
Dear irr. Vice:
Please be advised that it has come to tt:e attention of the Planning
Department that you have erected/re-erected several signs without a
permit.
Section 21.68.070 of the Campbell Municipal Coie provides that: No sign
(except those exempt from these regulations as provided in Section
21.68.030) shall be erected, reerected, painted, repainted, created or
altered unless a permit has been issued by the building official as
required by the codes and ordinances of the city. Except as otherwise
provided, no permit shall be issued unless the proposed sign has been
approved by the Planning Director.
It is my duty to inform you that unless you remove the A -frame sign, and
either remove the roof mounted and free-standing signs or apply for a sign
permit within 10 days (on or before 5 p.m., Monday September ?7, 1979) this
matter will be referred to the City Attorney.
