As discussed last week, Total Corporate Services, Inc is ready to occupy its new facilities
at _ 110 S Bascom, the "Yardstick Building" However, completion of the landscaping
will still be in process We have been assured by the landscaper, that the landscaping will
begin no later than Thursday. August 28, 1997 and will be completed within
approximately three weeks
We realize that there has been some concerti regarding the landscaping for this property
Please be advised that Total Corporate Services, Inc guarantees that the landscaping will
be accomplished within the estimated timetable since we are funding this work
We appreciate the waiver granted to facilitate our move and to allow us to open for
business at our new location

Subject. Handicapped access to 'The Yardstick', 2110 S Winchester Blvd, Campbell
The application for a permit to divide your buildir d at 2110 S Bascom (permit # 97556)
results in a lack of handicapped access to the main sales floor of'The Yardstick'. The
California Access Code, which the City of Campbell enforces, states that "Public
accommodations and commercial facilities steal! be accessible to persons with disabilities"
(CAC D-I 2.2)
A telephone con,-ci cation regarding the new door and ramp on J : c 25 apparently
resulted in the false impression that the door and ramp were not required. In fact, it is
only the minimum separation of the exits that will be modified to accommodate existing
conditions of the building. The Building Division has never in the past, and cannot now,
waive a state- and federally- mandated -equirement for handicappeil access to a
commercial facility.
The present application for the TCS tenart improvement will be delayed until submittal
and approval of plan i, designed and signed by a licensed Architect or Engineer, for a new
door and ramp on the north side of the building The door and ramp wi!I become part of
permit # 97556 and new occupancy will not be granted until this work is complete and
signed-cff

Dear Mr. Hopkinson:
The Planning Division has reviewed your plan submittal for tenant improvements to be made in Suite "A" of the
building located At 2110 S Bascom Avenue in conjunction with the establishment of a new computer business,
Total Corporate Services. Upon review, the Planning Division has conditionally released Planning approval of
you; building permit(s) for the tenant improvements subject to the following
1. It is understood that Suite "A" will be used for retail use with office use in conjunction with the retail
business. The basement is to be used for storage of stock for the business.
2. That the applicant or property owner submit a landscape Flan by July 3, 1997, to be reviewed and approved
by the Community Development Director, and that the landscaping be installed per the approved landscape
plan prior in issuance of occupancy of the budding.
3. That the apolr..ant re-stnpe the parking lines for spaces in the parking lot facing S. Bascom Avenue, prior to
issuance of occupancy of the building.
4. That the proposed chain link fence and redwood slats around the trash enclosure be painted to match the
color of the building prior to issuance of occupancy of the building. Vinyl slats may be used in place of
painted redwood slats, but also must match the color of the building.
5. That the applicant apply for a sign permit for any signage that is proposed to be installed on the property.
