SUBJECT: Graphic operational plan, including signage.
DATE June 16. 1997
Enclosed for your review, and for presentation to the City of Campbell- is a site plan
detailing the traffic pattern for the valet parking program. The signs imposed on the plan
are not to scale, and difficult to read, so I am providing the following legend and further
exl-lanation of the function of each sign.
All signs are reflective aluminum. and are designed to be both directional and
informational.
have labeled the signs I through 4 on the sign copy that follows. Page three displays
variations of sign a ?.
Sign I is a windmaster or "wobbler-' sign, designed to sway in the wind, to stay erect.
The placement of this sign is adjacent to the traffic lane to direct the parker to the valet
station, designated on the site plan by a triangle (in the two locations). It presents the
parking rate and hours of operation.
Sign : is displayed on the face of the attendants podium, located at the valet stations. It
also relates the rate and hours of operation.
Sign J serves to direct the parker to the valet stations. The placement of the arrow is
designed to facilitate quick access to the nearest valet station. These signs are eight in
number, and further details that the service starts at 5pm Wednesdays through Sundays.
Sign 4 is another windmaster type and is placed at the center of the traffic circle to direct
patrons to the rear valet station.
