Burr Chief of Police Subject: USE PERMIT - EATERY -DISCO LOUNGE We ,iuve spoken to Alan Maes and have made a physical check of the location. The following are objections to this Use Permit: Proposed site is to the rear of a small, compact shopping center containing three other businesses. There is a single, narruw driveway leadii9 from Bascom Avenue to the rear of the complex, where the proposed disco -eatery would be. There is a limited amount of parking available for the entire complex; 30 spaces. This is not adequate for an eatery -disco business. As proposed, they would have a type 4' license. This is. for food, wine, and beer. It also allows minors on premise. They can eat, consume non-alcoholic bf:rerages and dance. This could present enforcement difficulites with adults drinking and minors in attendance. We contacted the complex owner, Mr. Biagio. He was very agreeable, and said whatever the Planning Commission decided would be fine. W2 also contacted some of the other businesses in the complex They were not overly supportive of an eatery -disco. If the proposal was for an eatery with beer and wine, the location would be acceptable. However, with the addition of a disco and live entertainment, the potential for problems becomes evident.
