STAFF RECOMMENDATION That the Planning Commission adopt a Resolution, in^luding the attached findings, approving the applicant's request for on -sale beer and wine at this location. STAFF DISCUSSION The applicant is requesting approval of a Conditional Use Permit to allow an on -sale beer and wine license in conjunction with an established Greek Food Restaurant. The restaurant occupies a building of approximately 1360 square feet. This building is situated on the southeast corner of S. Bascom Avenue and Shady Dale Court. It is surrounded by the following uses: North: Office/retail (title company) and Computerland South: Retail (Hair Salon) East: Single -Family residential (homes) West: Pre-school and animal hospital A graphic illustration of the surrounding uses is included in this report. This matter was referred to the Police Department for their review and rsce ndation. They have no specific objections to this proposed use. Staff is of the opinion that the proposed On -sale Liquor License is compatible with the adjacent development. Within the immediate area of this site, there are three restaurants which have on -sale licenses, and one convenience store (7-11) which has an approved off -sale liquor license.
