STAFF DISCUSSION The applicant is requesting approval of a sign permit to allow the addition of a 19 sq.ft. sign to an existing freestanding tenant sign. The proposed sign copy would read "Oak Tree Plaza" and would help identify this retail shopping center. The proposed freestanding sign with the additional center identification would measure approximately 70 sq.ft. and have a sign height of 10 feet. Staff is of the opinion that the applicant's signing request is reasonable due to the number of tenants located at this center and the unusual shape of this parcel in relationship to the Bascom Ave. frontage.
