BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL ACCEPTING THE
PENAL CODE REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO
SELECTION AND TRAINING STANDARDS OF
PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHERS.
The City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as follows:
Section One. The City of Campbell declares that it desires to
qualify to receive aid from the State of California under the
provisions of Section 13522, Chapter 1 of Title 4, Page 4, of the
California Penal Code.
Section Two. Pursuant to Section 13510(c), Chapter 1, the
Campbell Police Department will adhere to standards for recruitment
and training established by the California Commission on Peace
Officer Standards and Training (POST).
Section Three. Pursuant to Section 13512, Chapter 1, the
Commission and it representatives may make such inquiries as deemed
appropriate by the Commission to ascertain that the Campbell Police
Department's Public Safety Dispatcher personnel adhere to standards
for selection and training established by the Commission on Peace
Officer Standards and Training.
Section Four. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty
days following its passage and adoption and shall be published once
within fifteen days upon passage and adoption in the San Jose Mercury
News, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Campbell,
County of Santa Clara.
