As the attached Legal Notice indicates, the City of Campbell Redevelopment
Agency (the "Agency) and the City Council of the City of Campbell (the
City Council,.) will hold a joint public hearing on May 5, 1992 at
7:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter, in the City Council Chambers, located at
70 North First Street, Campbell, California, to consider the adoption of
the Second Amended and Restated : Central Campbell Redevelopment Plan (the
"Amended Plan') and the certification of the Environmental Impact Report
(the 'EIR') prepared for .the Amended Plan. Further details of the Amended
Plan -and the EIR are on file with the Agency and are. available for your
inspection.
The purposes of . the amendments in the proposed Amended Plan are as
follows:
(1) to expand the Central Campbell Redevelopment Project Area to include
the McGlincey Lane Amendment Area (please refer to attached map for
location of the alreadyexisting Project Area. and the McGlincey Lane

Amendment Area that s proposed to be added to the Project Area at
this time);
(2) to add specific Agency activities to assist redevelopment of the
McGlincey Lane area including: the conversion of private streets to
public streets; the installation of storm drains, water lines and
traffic control improvements; assistance with private development
projects; possible development of a new City and Campbell Union School
District maintenance yard; and the provision of various other
infrastructure improvements; and
(3) to revise the fiscal limits allowed under the Redevelopment Plan to
finance the cost of the described new redevelopment activities in the
McGlincey Lane Amendment Area and the increased cost of previously
approved redevelopment activities in the already existing Project
Area.
The proposed redevelopment project pursuant to the Amended Plan will be an
ongoing undertaking of the Agency.
It is anticipated that it will take several years to meet the goals and
objectives for - successful development of the Project Area. Detailed
reports co-neerning the Pro ect s economic feasibility, the - Rules for
Business Tenant Preference an3 Owner Participation, and other matters have
been prepared for this Project and these documents are available for
inspection as well at the office of the Agency, 70 North First ' Street,
Campbell, California.

JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON
THE SECOND AMENDED AND RESTATED
CENTRAL. CAMPBEL L REDEVELOPMENT PLAN
AND THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
PREPARED THEREFOR
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Ci Council of the City of Campbell
the "City Council') and the City of Campbell Redevelopment Agency (the
Agency") will hold it joint public hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 1992 at 7:30
pp.m., or shortly thereafter, in the City Council Chambers, located at 70
North First Street, Campbell, California. The hearing may be continued
from time to time until completed. Any person desiring the opportunity to
be heard will be afforded an opportunity to do so. .
The purpose of the hearing is to consider the proposed amendments to
the First Amended and Restated Central Campbell Redevelopment Plan (the
"Redevelopment Plan"). The proposed amendments will be *incorporated in
the Redevelopment Plan in the form of the Second Amended and Restated
Central Campbell Redevelopment Plan (the "Amended Plan"). The Amended
Plan authorizes the continued undertaking of a redevelopment project
within the boundaries of the Central -Campbell Redevelopment Project Area
(the 'Project Area') pursuant to the California Community Redevelopment
Law. A further purpose of the hearingg is to consider the certification of
the Environmental Impact Report (the 'E ) for the Amended Plan prepared
pursuant to State Law.

proposed Amended Plan or _.those who wish to challengethe regularity of any
prior proceeding or who wish to speak to any issue raised by the EIR may
appear at the hearing and show cause why the proposed Amended Plan should
or should not be adopted. In addition, at any time not later than the
time set forth for the hearing on the Amended PIan, any person may file in
writing with the Clerk of the City Council of the City of Campbell a
statement of comments on or objections to the proposed Amended Plan and
EIR.
If any person desires to. challenge in court the adoption of the
proposed Amended Plan, the proposed certification of the EIR or any
proceedings in connection therewith, they may be limited to raising only
those issues that they or someone else raised at the hearing described in
this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council or
Agency at, or prior to, the public hearing.
In accordance with the California Community Redevelopment Law, the
Agency has prepared a -Report on the Amended Plan and has adopted and made
available for. public inspection rules to implement operation of
preferential treatment for persons who are engaged in a business in the
Project Area as well as rules to implement the requirements for
participation by owners of property. in the Project Area in the
redevelopment process.
Furthermore, the Report on the Amended Plan will be open for
discussion at the hearing. The Amended Plan, the EIR, the Rules for
Business Tenant Preference and Owner Participation, and the Report on the
Amended Plan. are -now available for inspection in the offices of the
Agency, located at 70 North First Street, Campbell, California.
