Some people rent space from an establishment that currently has a permit. If you ha e any further questions feel are to Reach out via email. I am familiar with Reiki therapy - I do believe the City has hit the maximum number of massage established allowed at this time. However, I want to defer to Ana for her experienced insight on your inquiry - as I am still learning the system around permitting. I currently have an applicant who isinterested in obtaining a Business License for a proposed Reiki establishment. As we don’t have acurrent definition for Reiki in the Municipal Code, we asked the applicant to provide a description ofthe service, to ensure that it does not meet the definition of massage. Based on the below as supplied by the applicant, would this in your opinion satisfy the definition of massage and/or massageestablishment, and require a massage establishment permit? I think the applicant is looking for a quick response, so If you can get back to me early next week atthe latest, that would be appreciated.
