Dear Mr. Gale:
The Planning Division has reviewed and conditionally approved your sign application (PLN2004-00180) for
three new wall signs on property located at 1640 S. Bascom Avenue. The new wall signs are internally
illuminated individual channel letters reading "The Jewel Box Jewelers" with a logo. Sign No.1 faces South
Bascom Avenue and is 37.3 square feet, Sign No.2 faces the parking lot and is 22.8 square feet, and Sign
No.3 faces the Bascom/Hamilton intersection and is 22.8 square feet.
This Sign Permit has been approved subject to the following conditions of approval:
1. The applicant shall obtain any necessary building permits from the Building Division prior to sign
installation.
2. The proposed wall sign shall be fabricated and installed per the approved plans dated December 9,
2004.
3. The wall sign shall not exceed a depth of five (5) inches as shown on the approved plans.
4. The stucco wall behind the signs shall be repaired and repainted to match the existing stucco wall.
5. The sign shall be maintained in good condition at all times and shall be repaired or replaced as
necessary.
Please be advised for future sign submittals that all sign permit applications should be submitted for review
and approval to the Planning Division prior to sign installation. If you should have any questions regarding
