The Community Development Director has conditionally approved your application for a Tree Removal
Permit (PLN2004-1O2) to remove five (5) Alder trees, with an average diameter of 12 inches, located in a
landscape area adjacent to Civic Center Drive on property located at 51 E. Campbell A venue in an P-D
(Planned Development) Zoning District, subject to the following condition of approval for tree
replacement:
1. The applicant is required to plant five (5) 24-inch box Crepe Myrtle trees in the location specified
by the approved replanting plan on or before November 14, 2004.
The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a supporting
recommendation by a Certified Arborist, that the Alder trees are dead and present a danger of falling that
cannot be controlled or remedied through reasonable preservation and/or preventative procedures and
practices such that the public health or safety requires their removal. .
It is recommended that the tree be removed by persons who are experienced and bonded for the removal
of trees and that the stumps be ground out and the roots removed so there will not be re-growth of the
trees.
This approval is final in 10 calendar days, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell
City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, on or before Thursdav. October 14.2004 at 5:00 p.m.
The trees may not be removed until after the 10-day appeal period has passed and no appeals have been
received.

NOTICE OF TREE REMOVAL PERMIT APPLICATION
Notice is hereby given that the Community Development Director of the City of
Campbell has received an application for a Tree Removal Permit (PLN2004-102) to
remove five (5) dead Alder trees, with an average diameter of 12 inches, located in a
landscape area adjacent to Civic Center Drive on property located at 51 E. Campbell
Avenue in an P-D (Planned Development) Zoning District (see map on reverse).
The Community Development Director will be rendering a decision after 10 calendar
days from the date of this notice. Any comments regarding this application must be
submitted to the Community Development Department before 5:00 p.m. on Friday,
October 1, 2004. Questions or comments regarding the proposed tree removal may be
addressed to Stephanie Willsey, Planner I, in the Community Development Department
