The proposed project consists of a 30-unit single-family residential development on the site of a former multi-tenant shopping center. The project consists of a General Plan Amendment to change the General Plan land use designation from Neighborhood Commercial to Low Density Residential, less than 4.5 units per gross acre; a Zoning Classification change from PoD (Planned Development) to R-I-9 (Single-family Residential, 9,000 square foot minimum lot size); a Tentative Subdivision Map for the creation of 30 residential lots and four private driveway (Turner Way) lots; Site and Architectural Review Permits for the development of 30 single-family residences; and a Tree Removal Permit for the removal of five trees. Based on the Initial Study, it has been concluded that the project described above will not have a significant effect on the environment and a draft Mitigated Negative Declaration has been prepared. The public review period for the draft Mitigated Negative Declaration begins on September 25, 2002 and ends on October 14, 2002. Any comments must be submitted to the Community Development Department by 5:00 p.m. on October 14, 2002. Copies of the Initial Study and draft Mitigated Negative Declaration are available for review from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Community Development Department, City Hall, 70 North First Street, Campbell, California. Notice is also hereby given that this project has been scheduled for a Planning Commission public hearing at 7:30 p.m., or shortly thereafter, on October 22, 2002, in the City Hall Council Chambers, 70 North First Street, Campbell, California. Interested persons may attend this public hearing and comment upon the project or provide written comments submitted before the public hearing date. Please be advised that if you challenge the nature of this project in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or written correspondence delivered to the City of Campbell Community Development at, or prior to the public hearing.
