AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AMENDING
CHAPTER 2.04 OF THE CAMPBELL MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING COUNCIL
COMMITTEE — APPOINTMENTS
WHEREAS, Campbell City Council Ordinance #1312, as subsequently amended by
Ordinance #2117, established the timeline for committee appointments of the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.04.050 provides that the Mayor may appoint Councilmembers to
committees on an annual basis.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the timeline to be annually and thereafter,
as needed, at the discretion of the Mayor;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: 2.04.050 of the Campbell Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows
with strikethroughs (strike+hFO Unhc) indicating deleted text, and underlining (underlining)
indicating added text:
2.04.050 — Committees — Appointment.
ARRually,Tthe Mayor may appoint Councilmembers to committees at the beginning
of the Mayor's term and at any time thereafter as deemed appropriate and necessary.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of February, 2026 by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers: Lopez, Hines, Bybee, Furtado
NOES: Councilmembers: None
ABSENT: Councilmembers: Scozzola
