Dear Ms. Hughes:
The Community Development Director has conditionally approved your application for a Tree
Removal Permit (PLN2004-00100) to remove one (1) Pine tree with a 23-inch diameter on the
above referenced property, subject to the following condition of approval for tree replacement:
1. The applicant is required to plant one (1) 24-inch box Chinese Pistache to be located on Unit
32 ofthe property on or before September 4, 2004.
The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a
supporting recommendation by a Certified Arborist, that the Pine tree has potential safety
concerns with branches at risk of falling onto residential units as well as existing visible damage
to a stone pillar, curb and asphalt ofthe parking lot.
It is recommended that the tree be removed by persons who are experienced and bonded for the
removal of trees and that the stumps be ground out and the roots removed so there will not be re-
growth of the tree.
This approval is final in 10 calendar days, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of
Campbell City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, on or before Fridav. Aul!ust 13.
2004 at 5 :00 p.m. The tree may not be removed until after the 10-day appeal period has passed
and no appeals have been received. If no appeals are filed, staff will send you a letter to let you
know that the Tree Removal Permit is final. A notice of tree removal will be posted on the
property where it is visible to the public and a notice will be sent out to all the property owners
within 300 feet of the property.

NOTICE OF TREE REMOVAL
Notice is hereby given that the Community Development Director of the City of
Campbell has received an application for a Tree Removal Permit (PLN2004-l00) to
remove one (1) Pine tree with a 23-inch diameter on property located at 295 Union
Avenue (Paseo de Palomas, Unit 74) (see map on reverse).
Reason for Grantimæ: Tree Removal
The Tree Removal Permit may be approved based upon the City's determination, with
supporting recommendations by a Certified Arborist, that the tree has potential safety
concerns with branches at risk of falling onto residential units as well as existing visible
damage to a stone pillar, curb and asphalt of the parking lot.
Conditions of Approval for Tree Removal
1. In replacement of the removed Pine tree, the applicant is required to plant one (1) 24-
inch box Chinese Pistache tree near Unit 32 within 30 days of removal of this Pine
tree.
The Community Development Dept. will be rendering a decision after 10 calendar days
from the date of this notice, on Wednesdav. Aul!ust 18. 2004. Questions or comments
