Dated: June 11, 2025 At San Jose, California t e Miller Filing Stamp ORDINANCENO.2330, BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AMENDING PROVISIONS OF THE CAMPBELL MUNICIPAL CODE TO REVISE BUSINESS LICENSE TAX RATES WHEREAS, pursuant to section 5.01.170 of the Campbell Municipal Code, as approved by the voters as part of Measure M, the City Council may by ordinance increase the amount of any tax set forth in this title by no more than two percent per year to account for inflation. The City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: Section 5,04.010 of the Campbell Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 6.04.010 - Designated. fessions and activities in the city, the Every person conducting businesses, pro primary nature of which is indicated in the following schedule, shall annually pay the license tax set opposite the same, based upon the average number of employees in such business, according to the following schedules, unless such business is otherwise specifically taxed' by other provisions of this chapter: SECTION TWO: Section 5.08.010 of the Campbell Municipal Code is hereby amended to read: 5.08.010 -Activities designated —Fees. No person shall conduct any of the following businesses and activities in the City without first securing a permit therefor from the City Council on written application filed therefor with the City Clerk, approved by the Chief of Police,. the Chief of the Fire Department, and the Community Development Director: The application shalt comply with the requirements of ection 5`08 D20. The following are the activities regulated by this chapter and the license fee therefor. (1) Fire and/or bankruptcy and/orwreck sale, first day $53.00 Each additional day; per day $26.00 s, scissors, cutlery, lawn mowers, etc., when the (2) Grinding and/or sharpening knive travels from place to place by vehicle or on foot, person conducting such business per year....._$26.00 (3) Itinerant medicine vendor, street vendor, temporary vendor and/or peddler, per day $31.00 (4) Pawnbroker, per year $356.00 (5) Dancehall, public dances, per year $106.00 SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall become effective July 1, 2025, following its passage and adoption and shall be published once within fifteen (15) days upon passage and adoption in the City's designated newspaper of general circulation.
