Dear Mr. Perez:
The Planning Division has reviewed and approved your sign application (PLN2004- 79) for one new wall
sign on property located at 2081 S. Winchester Boulevard. The new wall sign is 13.6 square feet in area
and consists of circular logo and rectangular portion per the approved plans.
Your sign application (PLN2004-80) for one new freestanding sign panel has also been approved. The
approved panel is white aluminum with blue letters. Future panels for this sign will be required to match
the white background color.
This Sign Permit has been approved subject to the following conditions of approval:
1. The applicant shall obtain any necessary building permits from the Building Division prior to sign
installation an/or modifications to existing signs.
2. The wall sign electrical conduit shall be painted out to match the background wall color.
The wall sign shall be re-Iocated to the location as depicted on the approved elevations.
The overhead wires to the existing freestanding sign shall be placed underground or removed. If
removed, the exterior light fixtures shall also be removed.
The signs shall be fabricated and installed per the approved plans dated as approved by the Planning
Division on September 14, 2004.
The signs shall be maintained in good condition at all times and shall be repaired or replaced as
necessary.

The changes to the existing signs shall be completed by October 22. 2004 in order to eliminate the
need for any further Code Enforcement actions on this matter.

The existing freestanding sign is located in the front parking lot of the commercial center. It is
visible from Winchester Blvd. and its location will not be modified.
The modifications will be to the appearance of the existing sign. (See next section.)
B. Sign Detail
The existing individual signs on the freestanding sign of the commercial center are of 2 different
materials. The modifications to be made are as follows:
Change the existing white "Restaurant 0" banner to a permanent white (~8~tic or 4VJ'Vt;
'Wuud) material with dark blue lettering. Sign size and appearance not to be
changed.
Change the existing brown wood panels to white material (plastic or wood) with
lettering for each individual business. These panels would be able to be updated as
tenants change. The size of the existing panels would not be modified. Only
materials and appearance of panels to be changed to be consistent with item #1.

The existing roof mounted sign is located above the storefront at 2081 S. Winchester Blvd. The
roof-mounted portion is to be moved. The existing rectangular sign above the storefront entrance
will not change.

Dear Mr. Perez:
The Planning Division has reviewed your sign applications (PLN2004- 79 and PLN2004-80) for
one new wall sign and a modification to an existing freestanding sign on property located at th~
above referenced address. Your application has been deemed incomplete. Additional
information and details are needed to deem your application complete.
The subject property is currently developed with a multi-tenant, commercial retail building. The
City's Sign Ordinance requires that signage for commercial developments shall be allowed one
wall sign that shall not be greater than one square foot of sign area for every linear foot of
business frontage with a minimum of 20 square feet and a maximum of 50 square feet.
Please provide information on the plans that indicates the linear street frontage of the tenant
space as well as the proposed square footage, colors, materials and illumination for the tenant
wall sign. The plans indicate that the existing freestanding sign will be modified to change the
existing brown wood panels to a white material of either wood or plastic. The specific material
needs to be specified on the plans as well as if there will be any illumination for this freestanding
SIgn.
