Tree Removal Permit Application
File No: PLN2005-62
816 Apricot Avenue
Dear Ms. & Mrs, Bini
The Community Development Director has conditionally approved your application for the removal of
two Montérey Pine tree with a diameter of 24-inches and 14-inches located at 816 Apricot Avenue in a R-
3-S (Multi-Family Residential) Zoning District, subject to the following condition of approval for tree
replacement:
1. The applicant is required to plant two (2) 24-inch box Creep Myrtle trees in the location specified by
the approved replanting plan on or before July 2,2005.
The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a supporting
recommendation by a Certified Arborist, that the tree suffered a large branch break caused by beetle
infestation. The Director finds that the tree is irreparably damaged and presents a danger of falling that
cannot be controlled or remedied through reasonable preservation and/or preventative procedures and
practices such that the public health or safety requires their removal. .

RE:
801 Apricot Avenue Tree
Dear Planning:
Enclosed is the Application to Remove 2 trees located at a single-family home located on
the comer of Apricot and Union in Campbell. Thse Monterey pine trees have suffered a
large branch break caused by a beetle infestation. The City of Campbell Public Works
Department has seen the tree and noted that the tree could pose a falling threat since it
overhangs Union A venue. Because of this I am asking that the Community Development
Director issue an Emergency removal permit due to the recent limp break and potential
hazardous situation.
Sincerely,
/J~ ~-
