Re:
Tree Removal Permit Application
File No: PLN2005-105
1657 S. Bascom Avenue
Dear Mr. Wood:
On August 11, 2005, the Community Development Director approved your application for a Tree
Removal Permit for two Canary Island Pine trees on property located at 1657 S. Bascom Avenue in the P-
D (Planned Development) Zoning District, subject to the following condition of approval for tree
replacement:
1. The applicant is required to plant two (2) 24-inch box Chinese Pistache trees in the location
specified by the approved replanting plan on or before September 22, 2005.
The Tree Removal Permit was approved based upon the fact that the trees have demonstrated a
tendency to cause concrete and pavement failure in the location where they are planted and the
only remedy is to have them removed.
It is recommended that the tree be removed by persons who are experienced and bonded for the removal
of trees and that the stumps be ground out and the roots removed so there will not be re-growth of the
tree.
This approval is final in 10 calendar days, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell
City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, on or before Monday. August 22,2005 at 5 :00 p.rn.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (408) 866-2144 or via email at
