Dear Mr. Han:
The Planning Division has reviewed your sign application (PLN2004- 156) for two new wall signs on
property located at 1777 S. Bascom Avenue. Additional changes and revisions are requested as follows:
The larger wall sign is 57.8 square feet and consist of internally illuminated, blue channel letters with
white returns reading "Campbell Billiards" located on the building facade. A maximum sign area of 50
square feet is permitted. The allowed sign area is based upon the linear frontage of the business wherein a
business is permitted one square foot of signage for each linear foot of business frontage up to the
maximum sign area of 50 square feet. Please submit a revised proposal with less square footage.
Your application depicts a second wall sign facing South Bascom A venue of 9.4 square feet. In that your
business is identified on the multi-tenant freestanding sign a second wall sign is not permitted. If you
wish to pursue a second wall sign, please submit the following:
1) A revision to the freestanding sign eliminating identification of your business.
2) An application fee of $262.00 for the second sign, and
3) A letter from the property owner indicating that this business will only identified by two wall
signs and will not permitted identification on the freestanding sign.
