Dear Applicant:
The Planning Division has reviewed and conditionally approved your sign plan for a new wall sign
reading 'Starbright School' at 1806 West Campbell Avenue. The application has been approved, subject
to the following conditions:
1. The applicant shall obtain any necessary building/electrical permits from the Building Division prior
to sign installation.
2. The sign area shall be restricted to 42.9 (11.3 x 3.8) square feet in area and shall be fabricated and
installed per the approved plans dated as approved by the Planning Division on November 3, 2005.
3. The sign shall be maintained in good condition at all times and shall be repaired or replaced as
necessary.

Dear Applicant:
The Planning Division has reviewed your plan submittal for a new wall sign identifying 'Star
Bright School' and found the application to be incomplete. The following information is
necessary to complete the application:
I) Please submit a scaled site plan that depicts the linear frontage of the business.
2) The approved signing program for the shopping center did not permit raceways.
3) The submitted sign elevation depicts a 43.39 square foot sign. If this calculation is
inaccurate please submit a scaled elevation.
4) A copy of the approved sign program is enclosed. Please verify that the proposed sign
complies with these conditions.

SIGN CRITERIA
KIRKWOOD PLAZA

1.
All signs shall be in the form of individual letters,
internally illuminated.
The vertical heights for tenant's sign letters are 18"
maximum and 10" minimum. Signs must be centered
vertically on the facia. Note: two lines of copy
will be permitted, but they may not exceed 22" in their
combined height.

In all instances the maximum length of tenant's sign shall
not exceed 70% of the leased frontage or one square foot of
sign area for each one linear foot of business frontage. No
sign shall be greater than 50 square feet. No tenant shall
have more than one sign. signs shall only be allowed over
window areas.
5.
In any event signs are not to exceed city sign ordinance.
6.
All individual letter signs to be located on 24" facia
(stucco) above each tenants leased space.
7.
The sign letters are to be metal channel type letters with
plexiglass faces, trim caps to match returns, lighted from
the interior with neon tubing. All letter sides are to be
black and 5" in depth. sign letters shall have solid
backing to prevent halo lighting.
8.
Color of plastic letter face and letter styles are optional
to tenant's wishes, but still subject to owner's prior
approval.
9.
All fasteners, screws, bolts, etc.. used in fabrication and
erection of the signs shall be non-corrosive and non-ferrous
metals.

No exposed raceways, crossovers or conduit will be
permitted. All electrical requirements shall comply with
local building and electrical codes. All cabinets, -
conductors, transformers, and other equipment shall be

concealed inside facia. Electrical service to all signs
shall be on tenant's own meter. No exposed lamps or tubing
will be permitted. No animated or flashing signs will be
permitted. Neon tubing shall be 30 H.A. transformers.
All signs to be UL approved.
All signs must be approved by the Planning Department. Any
exceptions to the above must have special approval from both
the landlord and the city of Campbell.
The total square footage for office signs within development
shall be no greater that 80 sq. ft. and no single sign
shall have a display surface greater than 40 sq. ft..
