In response to your request for a zoning verification letter dated by February 16, 2006, please be
advised of the following:
This letter is to advise you that the zoning of the above referenced property is governed by the
laws and regulations of the City of Campbell. This property is zoned P-D (Planned
Development) and the current underlying General Plan land use designation is Central
Commercial. Please refer to Section 21.12.030 D of the Campbell Municipal Code for a list of
allowable uses in the P-D (Zoning District).
The property is surrounded by the following Zoning DistrictslUses:
North: P-D(Planned Development/Central Commercial) - Hotel
South: P-F/O-S (Public Facilities- Open Space) - Recreational Trail and Park
East: Highway 17
West: P-F/O-S (Public Facilities- Open Space) - Recreational Trail and Park
According to the zoning ordinance and regulations of the P-D (Planned Development)Zoning
District, the use of the subject property as a hotel is permitted use subject to approval of a
Planned Development Permit. The approved use is a legal conforming use.
On June 17,2003, the City Council approved project number PLN 2002-96 for construction of a
four-story extended stay hotel with 95 suites. A copy of the adopted ordinance is attached.
Based upon the current Zoning and General Plan the hotel could be rebuilt in its current form.
Our records indicate that the property is in compliance with the City of Campbell's building and
zoning laws, rules, and regulations. As of this date, the property and improvements thereon are
not in violation of the zoning laws, rules, and regulations.
