Dear Mrs. Masciarelli:
Please be advised that the Community Development Director, with the concurrence of the
City Engineer, has reviewed your request to permit overhead services in conjunction with the
remodel of your residence on the above-referenced property in lieu of the requirement to
underground the utilities.
Pursuant to Campbell Municipal Code section 20.36.150, this request has been granted as a
waiver of the requirement to underground utilities due to the limited likelihood that other
utility lines will be placed underground in your neighborhood.

Request for Waiver Underground Utilities

I have lived in my home on Campbell Avenue over thirty years and I am
finally planning to remodel and update my home at the above address.
My reasons for the waiver are:
Cost of the underground utilities, we are on a limited budget.
I believe we would be the only home on the block with underground
utilities, so we would not look different than any other house on the
block. The environmental feature would be, the remodel would improve
the look of the home. The utility lines will be moved fi.om the front of
the house to the side of the house.
