PLN 2002-00028

Sign Application for Carpet Club
Dear Mr. Fakoory:
The Planning Division has reviewed your sign application (PLN2002-00028) for two new wall
signs at 1581 W. Campbell Avenue. All signs allowed for the Campbell Wing Center are
required to comply with the approved master sign plan as well as the Sign Ordinance. The
proposed signage does not meet the requirements of the approved master sign plan.
This application has been deemed incomplete. Per the master sign plan, the maximum letter
height shall not exceed 24 inches. Additionally, staff recommends that all the letters be the same
color with black trim to be more architecturally compatible with the existing signs in the
shopping center.
A site inspection of the subject site revealed illegal banner signs posted on the exterior of the
building. All temporary signage must meet the requirements of Section 21.53.080 (Temporary.
Signs and Promotional Devices) of the Sign Ordinance and shall be approved by the Community
Development Director. Please remove all the banner signs from the exterior of the building until
such time as a temporary sign permit is obtained from the Planning Division.
If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me at
(408) 866-2143 or via email at stephaniew@ci.campbell.ca.us.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Willsey
