Dear Mr. Hansen,
The Planning Division has reviewed your plan submittal for a new loading dock for Building
"B" at 1077 Dell Avenue. The Planning Division has approved the plans subject to the
following Conditions of Approval:
1. Building Permit: A building permit shall be obtained for the proposed loading dock prior to
installation.
Parking: The installation of the loading dock will result in the re-location of three parking
spaces to be provided in the locations as specified on the approved plans prepared by House
of Haws and received by the Planning Division on April 5, 2002. All parking facilities shall
be consistent with the requirements of Chapter 21.50 (Parking and Loading) of the Campbell
Municipal Code.
Landscaping: The applicant shall submit a landscape and irrigation plan indicating type and
size of plant material and details regarding the automatic irrigation system to the Planning
Division for review and approval by the Community Development Director prior to the
issuance of a building permit. The landscaping shall be installed prior to the building permit
being finaled.
4. Walkway: A paved walkway shall be provided from the man door adjacent to the loading
dock to the parking lot.
Canvas Awning: The new canvas awning as indicated on the plans is not included as part of
this approval. The applicant shall submit details regarding the awning, including a building
elevation, with the building permit for review.

Application and request for outdoor dock approval
Dear Ms. Fierro:
On behalf of our client, Pacific Wood Windows, we are requesting an Administrative
review and Staff approval for the installation of a new dock at 1077 Dell Ave in
Campbell.
We have completed all the changes requested by Tim Haley of your staff.
Enclosed you will find 2 sets of plans and photos which include:
a. Site plan of the existing premises
b. Detail of dock location, including dimensions
c. Location of new parking stalls.
d. Elevation of exterior showing dock in relationship to building.
e. Parking allocation for Pacific Wood Windows
f. View of northern wall
g. Landscaping requirements to the side and front of the building.
The reason for the new dock is the concerns of traffic and safety. Deliveries to the
building, in the past, were accomplished in the street with a forklift. This stopped traffic
and endangered vehicles and pedestrians alike when un-loading took place.
The new dock will be unobtrusive and provide better distribution without impacting the
street traffic. We hope that you agree with our analysis and grant us a permit to construct
the dock as soon as possible.
