Dear Mr. Horn:
The Community Development Department has reviewed your Fence Exception application to allow
fencing higher than 42 inches along your entire front property line and the southern side property
line within 15 feet of the front property line on property located at 738 Filbert Way.
The fence exception provides for a five-foot high ornamental metal fence with a matching
pedestrian and vehicular gate along the front property line and a five-foot high wood fence that
consists of solid vertical boards (and no lattice) along the southern side property line within 15 feet
of the front property line between your property and the property at 750 Filbert Way.
It has been determined that the requested Fence Exception:
1. Will not impair vehicular or pedestrian safety;
2. Will result in a more desirable site layout;
3. Will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of the
City; and
4. Will not be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or to the
general welfare of the City.
