The fence exception provides for a seven-foot wood fence that consists of six-foot vertical boards with one-foot of lattice on top between your property and the property at 584 Smokey Court and a eight- foot wood fence that consists of six-foot vertical boards with two-foot of lattice on top between your property and the property at 588 Smokey Court. It has been determined that the requested Fence Exception: 1. Will not impair vehicular or pedestrian safety; 2. Will result in a more desirable site layout; 3. Will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of the City; and 4. Will not be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City. This fence exception application has been approved subject to the following Condition of Approval: 1. The applicant shall obtain any necessary building permits from the Building Division. The planned replacement fences are in the same locations as the existing fences. Fence 1 is proposed as a six foot louvered style fence topped with a one foot lattice. This is the same style and height as currently in place on this street. Fence 2 is a six foot louvered fence with a two foot lattice, providing some additional privacy for the residences as they are located in an offset fashion on the curve at the end of Smokey Court. Both the one foot and two foot lattice sections are two layer with open spaces. Please refer any questions to the undersigned at 408-888-4088.
