Dear Applicant:
Please be advised that the Community Development Director with the concurrence of the
Land Development Manager, on behalf of the City Engineer, has reviewed your request to
permit overhead services in conjunction with the proposed upgrade of electrical service on the
above-referenced property in lieu of the requirement to underground the utilities.
This request has been granted as a waiver of the requirement to underground utilities due to
the limited likelihood that other utility lines will be placed underground in your neighborhood
and the fact that this work represents a utility service upgrade and not a new utility installation.
This approval is final in ten days unless a written appeal letter and the required fee of $100.00 are
received at the City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell on or before Tuesday, September
3, 2002.

Item 2) b. Written Description:
Remodeling kitchen, and in order to bring kitchen up to code electrically, we
needed to upgrade service panel from 100 AMP to 200 AMP.
1. To put utility installation underground would require cutting patios and
removing fence and intruding into neighbors backyard which would result in
doubling cost of service change.
2. The entire neighborhood has overhead utilities.
