Re: Preliminary Application Comments
File No.: PRE2004-03 - 599 B McGlincy Lane
Dear Mr.Sullivan:
Thank you for your submittal of a preliminary application for the installation of a liquid nitrogen
tank and enclosure adjacent to an existing industrial building located at 599 McGlincy Lane. The
subject property is presently zoned M-l-S (Light lndustrial) and is designated as Light Industrial
on the City's General Plan Land Use Map.
The proposed project would require approval of a Modification to a Site and Architectural
Review Permit to allow this installation. The Site and Architectural Review Permit approves the
site plan, elevations, and floor plans for the subject property.
The Community Development Department is not supportive of the construction of an exterior
enclosure to accommodate this tank and would recommend that the tank be accommodated within
the interior of the building. An interior installation will require Building Division and Fire
Department review only, except for the screening of roof mounted equipment and venting.
Your application was distributed to the Public Works Department, Building Division, Planning
Division, and County Fire Department. In addition to the Planning Division's comments
contained in this letter, please find enclosed comments from the Building Division and County
Fire Department. Please note that these comments are meant to be preliminary. Conditions of
approval from each department will be developed when the formal application is submitted.
You may contact me at (408) 866-2144 or via email at timh@citvofcamobell.com to schedule a
meeting to discuss these comments or the application process.
