Dear Mr. and Mrs. Black:
Thank you for your submittal of a Fence Exception application to replace an existing fence
located at 87 N. Milton Avenue. The Fence Exception would allow for a 7' high fence (6' with a
I ' lattice) on your property where a six-foot fence is allowed.
The Community Development Director has determined that the requested Fence Exception:
I. Will not impair vehicular or pedestrian safety;
2. Will result in a more desirable site layout from a maintenance and use standpoint;
3. Will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of
the City; and
4. Will not be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or
to the general welfare of the City.
Therefore, your request for a Fence Exception has been approved. The Fence Exception is
granted subject to the following condition of approval:
1. The development of the project shall substantially conform to the plans submitted to the
City of Campbell Planning Department by you on July 11, 2005. Any modifications to
the plans shall be reviewed and approved by Staff.
2. The applicant shall obtain a building permit from the Campbell Building Division, prior
to installation of the fence.

We are requesting a permit to replace our existing fence. The new fence will be a six
foot privacy fence with a foot of lattice on the top; a total of approximately seven feet.
Our existing fence is in need of repair and replacement. Thanks for your consideration in
this matter.
