Dear Mr and Mrs. Van Every:
The Community Development Director has approved your application for a Tree Removal Permit to
remove one (I) Redwood tree with a diameter of 3 I-inches located at 175 N. 2nd Street in an R-I-6
(Single-Family Residential) Zoning District, subject to the following condition of approval for tree
replacement:
. The applicant is required to plant one (I) 36-inch box Tulip tree or an approved alternative tree
type in the location specified by the approved replanting plan on or before July 8, 2005.
The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a supporting
recommendation by a Certified Arborist that the tree roots have resulted in concrete upheaval due to root
activity. Its continued growth will result in the root structure growing beneath the garage foundation,
which may result in substantial damage to it and the structure that cannot be controlled or remedied
through reasonable relocation or modification of the building.
This approval is final in 10 calendar days, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell
City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, on or before Fridav, June 18, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. A
written appeal must be accompanied with payment for appealing the approval. The tree mav not be
removed until after the 10-day appeal period has passed and no appeals have been received.
