Dear Mr. and Mrs. 'Lange:
The Community Development Director, upon recommendation from the Public Works
Director, has determined that the requested Fence Exception:
1. Will not impair vehicular or pedestrian safety;
2. Will result in a more desirable site layout from a maintenance and use standpoint;
3. Will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general
welfare of the City; and
4. Will not be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the
neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City.
Therefore, your request for a Fence Exception has been approved. The Fence Exception
is granted for the rear (southern) property line and a portion of the side (eastern and
western) property lines, subject to the following conditions of approval:
1. The applicant shall obtain a building permit from the Campbell Building Division.
The fence shall not exceed eight (8) feet two (2) inches in height. The approved
design consists of a six (6) foot high board on board "good neighbor" wood fence
with two (2) feet of lattice and a two (2) inch cap on top.
3. The fence shall be contained entirely within the property lines and shall not
encroach onto adjacent properties or the public right-of-way.

If you wish to build a similar fence along any other property line, you will need to submit
for another fence exception. If have any questions about this approval, please do not

to request permission to extend our six foot fence by an additional two feet with a lattice
extension in order to increase the privacy and visual appeal of our backyard.
