158 Sunnyside Avenue
Dear Mr. Vielma:
The Community Development Director, upon recommendation from the Public Works
Director, has determined that the requested Fence Exception:
1. Will not impair vehicular or pedestrian safety;
2. Will result in a more desirable site layout from a maintenance and use standpoint;
3. Will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general
welfare of the City; and
4. Will not be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the
neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City.
Therefore, your request for a Fence Exception has been approved. The Fence Exception
is granted for the side (western) and rear (southern) property line, subject to the following
conditions of approval:
1. The applicant shall obtain a building permit from the Campbell Building Division.
The fence shall not exceed seven (7) feet six (6) inches in height. The approved
design consists of a six (6) foot high board on board "good neighbor" wood fence
with one (1) foot six (6) inches of lattice on top.
3. The fence shall be contained entirely within the property lines and shall not
encroach onto adjacent properties or the public right-of-way.

We are requesting fence exception for the height of the fence dividing the properties
between 158 Sunnyside and 134 Sunnyside Ave. The current owner of 134 is requesting
that the current fence remain as it was prior to construction of the new home on 158
Sunnyside. The existing fence was S'O" the new fence is 7'&". Since the homes are very
close to each other he is intend on maintaining his privacy from the new neighbors as he
agreed to the new home plans that were approved by the City of Campbell. The backside
of the fence borders the back alley and an existing auto shop that can be seen from the
lower level living area of the new home and thus offers little privacy to the new
homebuyers. In the best interest of all the neighboring properties it is best that the fence
be allowed to remain, as it is currently build 7' ¢'. The neighbors of the adjacent
properties are in agreement as you can see by the letters they have provided. We will
comply with decision and ail instructions that you request.

much needed privacy but stills allows in sunlight.
If you have any questions, please call me at

To Whom It May Concern,
We have no objection to the lattice on fence separating 148 and 158 Sunnyside.
The back of our facility faces the back of the house with the fence. It is a good
separation from the house to the alley.
Should you require any further authorization, please do not hesitate to contact
me.
