Dear Mr. and Mrs. Kiehtreiber:
The Community Development Department has reviewed your application for a fence exception for the
fencing along the rear property line of your property at 1509 Walnut Drive. The fence exception provides for
a six and a half foot high board-on-board style wood fence between your property and the properties at 1460
and 1484 Capri Drive.
It has been determined that the requested fence exception:
1. Will not impair vehicular or pedestrian safety;
2. Will result in a more desirable site layout;
3. Will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of the City;
and
4. Will not be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or to the
general welfare of the City.
This fence exception application has been approved subject to the following Conditions of Approval:
1. The applicant shall obtain any necessary building permits from the Building Division, prior to sign
installation.

Letter of Request:
We recently had a fence installed along the side of our property. During
construction, we inspected the fence along the rear of our property that runs along
the property line between our neighbor to the rear and have determined that it
should also be replaced, as is it propped up and in poor condition. We have spoken
to our neighbors at 1460 Capri Drive, Mr. & Mrs. Gerhard and Karen Foempe, and
they agree with us that now would be an excellent time to replace this fence. We
have also spoken to Mr. & Mrs. Richard and Leah Strong, owners of the property
at 1484 Capri Drive and they have also agreed to the installation of a new fence.
Since the existing fence is 6 1/2 feet tall, we would like to have a fence of the same
height installed.
We have enclosed "Letter(s) of Consent" from our neighbors at 1460 Capri Drive,
Mr. & Mrs. Gerhard and Karen Foempe, and from Mr. & Mrs. Richard and Leah
Strong, 1484 Capri Drive which agree to installation of a board-on-board style fence
6 1/2 feet tall.
